The People Operations Specialist is responsible for executing high-volume, transactional HR services across the employee lifecycle with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role supports one or more functional areas such as onboarding, HR data management, leave of absence administration, compliance, or employee lifecycle transactions.
Reporting to the People Operations Manager, the Specialist ensures standardized processes are followed, HR data integrity is maintained, and service levels are consistently achieved. This role serves as a key operational contributor within HR Shared Services, partnering with the HR Contact Center, HR Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver seamless, end-to-end service execution and a high-quality employee experience.

Reporting to the People Operations Manager, the Specialist ensures standardized processes are followed, HR data integrity is maintained, and service levels are consistently achieved. This role serves as a key operational contributor within HR Shared Services, partnering with the HR Contact Center, HR Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver seamless, end-to-end service execution and a high-quality employee experience.
Job Duties- Execute HR transactions across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, job changes, data updates, and separations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Process functional transactions within assigned area (e.g., onboarding, HR data, leave administration, compliance) in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Ensure all work meets established service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, and compliance requirements
- Receive and manage escalated cases from the HR Contact Center, resolving Tier 2 inquiries and transactions with completeness and accuracy
- Coordinate with COEs, HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits teams to resolve more complex or cross-functional issues
- Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems (e.g., Workday), ensuring data quality and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Support audits, reporting, and data validation activities to ensure integrity and reduce downstream errors
- Follow standardized processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for automation
- Partner with Knowledge Management and leadership to support updates to SOPs and process documentation
- Provide responsive, customer-focused service to employees, managers, and HR partners, ensuring a positive service experience
- Communicate clearly and effectively regarding case status, requirements, and resolution timelines
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years to 4 years of experience in HR operations, shared services, or a transactional HR environment
- Strong understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hire-to-retire)
- Demonstrated ability to process high-volume work with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to follow standardized processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalated issues appropriately - Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-service mindset with a focus on responsiveness and quality
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience processing HR transactions (e.g., onboarding, data changes, leave administration, or compliance activities)
- Experience working with HR systems such as Workday or similar platforms
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use,
* patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
