Overview

Your work will be central to helping our clients modernize, automate, and secure different environments using advanced, cloud-native capabilities and AI solutions. As a Cloud Architect, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.
Responsibilities- Architect, design, and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Dynamo
DB, Step Functions, and AI/ML offerings (Bedrock, Sage Maker, Amazon Q). - Define cloud architectures for new and existing systems, emphasizing automation, cost efficiency, and mission resilience.
- Provide strategic guidance to shape cloud adoption, modernization roadmaps, and market-aligned solution offerings.
- Build secure, scalable multi-account environments following AWS Well-Architected, Zero Trust, and industry security frameworks.
- Lead the design and automation of Dev Sec Ops pipelines, integrating CI/CD, policy-as-code, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Cloud Formation), and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements, translate mission needs into robust technical solutions, and integrate cloud security at every layer.
- Work with cloud governance to ensure NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 controls are implemented and documented, such as IAM best practices, data protection, encryption, and compliance controls (FedRAMP, DoW, NIST).
- Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native design patterns, AI/ML solution integration, and secure automation practices.
- Participate in proposal development, ensuring technical solutions are innovative, compliant, and aligned with emerging government requirements.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, such as generative AI, container security, edge computing, and automated governance, to enhance cloud strategy and accelerate delivery.
- Education:
BA/BS in Computer Science or similar field. - 15+ years total experience, with 8+ years of experience architecting cloud solutions.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
- Extensive experience designing and deploying AWS-based solutions through infrastructure-as-code and a CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience creating and contributing technical material to federal, state, and local proposals and building cloud architectures.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Location:
Remote, but must be able to travel up to 25% for customer and proposal support. - US Citizenship required.
