The Data Analyst Intern will report directly to the Business Intelligence Manager and is responsible for creating standard or ad‑hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources. The Intern analyzes data to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomalies. The role may also support advanced analytics initiatives including data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling efforts.

Schedule:

8:00AM – 4:00PM, onsite twice a week during summer.

Responsibilities
  • Pull and analyze data and build models used by the business to support decision making.
  • Provide technical assistance to users to ensure efficient procurement of data.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, and modern BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
  • Use detailed specifications to design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain business intelligence reports.
  • Provide quality report services, including cooperative design, effective implementation, adequate documentation, and continual support.
  • Analyze BI reports and suggest improvements and enhancements.
  • Under supervision, maintain the security, accuracy, integrity, availability, performance, and validity of credit union data and reports.
  • Assist in research and fact‑finding, and collaborate with specialists to improve or convert legacy reports to the credit union’s BI solution.
  • Provide training and assistance to users for generation of ad‑hoc reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma (Required) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Current student actively pursuing a degree or certification (Not Required).
  • Must meet the company’s minimum employment eligibility requirements, including being at least 18years of age at the time of hire (Required).
