The People Operations Manager reports to the People Operations Director and leads the management, planning, and organization of People Operations functions, including employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, performance management, safety, and workers’ compensation.
What is People Operations?People Operations is a strategic, data‑driven function focused on people and culture, partnering with business lines to build a sense of community and support employees, the individuals we serve, and the overall organization.
Responsibilities- Assist the People Operations Director in managing, planning, and organizing People Operations functions, including employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, performance management, safety, and workers’ compensation.
- Provide consultation, coaching, and guidance to center leadership, managers, and department personnel to ensure compliance with PO policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise staff as assigned.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in People Operations, Business, or related field; PO certification preferred. Master’s degree preferred. - Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of People Operations experience; three (3) years of supervisory experience; minimum age 21. - Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, OSHA).
- Proficiency with an HR/Payroll Information System.
- Excellent oral and written communication and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing demands and delivering HR support to diverse stakeholders.
