The Temple University’s Fischer‑Shain Center for Financial Services at the Fox School of Business is searching for an Executive Director (PT) to lead industry partnerships, inspire future banking leaders, expand the impact of financial services education, and shape the future of banking leadership.

Position Summary

The Fox School of Business at Temple University seeks an accomplished financial services executive to serve as the Executive Director of the Fischer‑Shain Center for Financial Services. This part‑time leadership opportunity is ideal for a banking or financial services professional who is passionate about developing industry leaders and strengthening connections between academia and practice. The Executive Director will expand industry partnerships, engage senior executives and advisory board members, cultivate philanthropic support, and create transformative experiences that prepare students for careers in commercial banking and financial services.

$41.00‑$46.00/hr.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 7 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Commercial banking experience
  • Master's degree

  • Strong knowledge of the commercial banking industry
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse groups
  • Skill in envisioning, designing, planning, executing, and leading industry‑focused events, both virtual and in‑person
  • Ability to monitor and manage budgets effectively
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and standard software applications
  • Ability to connect students to the commercial banking industry and build professional confidence, readiness, and long‑term career awareness
  • Ability to cultivate and expand a professional network, developing new industry and individual relationships
  • Skill in engaging and communicating with an advisory board, presenting program progress, articulating vision for center growth, and advancing philanthropic investment in the center’s mission

  • Ability to teach one or more undergraduate classes related to commercial banking
Essential Duties
  • Manage the Center’s Advisory Board: organize meetings, recruit members, solicit curriculum feedback, and collaborate to identify networking, internship, and employment opportunities in the financial services industry with a focus on banking
  • Collaborate with the Fox Development Office to identify and cultivate philanthropic gifts, and oversee the scholarship application and award process
  • Oversee event programming, develop topics and formats, recruit potential partners, panelists, and industry guests
  • Prepare and guide students for effective participation in co‑ and extracurricular activities focused on the banking industry
  • Collaborate with department, school faculty, and staff to prepare students for career success
Work Arrangement

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on‑campus and remote). The duration of this arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
