Position Summary

The Plant Manager – MIM & Additive Manufacturing is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of the company’s Metal Injection Molding and Additive Manufacturing businesses. This role carries full P&L responsibility and oversees operations, engineering, commercial growth, customer relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Plant Manager will drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and technology advancement while ensuring best‑in‑class performance in safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing customer relationships.
  • Serve as executive contact for key customers and strategic accounts.
  • Support quoting, pricing, contract negotiations, and new product introductions.
Operational Excellence
  • Lead all manufacturing operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Align workforce, equipment, and capacity planning with forecasted growth.
Technical & Engineering Leadership
  • Provide leadership for MIM and additive manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Drive innovation in materials, tooling, processes, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Oversee implementation of new technologies and capital investments.
People & Culture
  • Build and develop high‑performing teams across operations, engineering, and support functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders within the organization.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, customer requirements, and safety standards.
  • Manage operational risk, supply chain resilience, and contingency planning.
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within MIM, powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing, or precision manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience leading operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong commercial and customer‑facing experience with demonstrated success driving growth.
  • Experience scaling operations in fast‑paced, high‑growth manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
Preferred
  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, medical device, defense, or automotive.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems.
  • Experience implementing advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, or digital manufacturing initiatives.
