Monthly lab orders are created for physical testing. Metal specimens are prepared and tested for various corrosion, coating, mechanical, and analytical properties. Test reports are drafted, and clerical tasks include filing lab orders, certificates, purchase orders, etc. Testing records are reviewed for accuracy, and tank temperature monitoring is performed. Process tanks are tagged out when concentrations or temperatures fall outside required ranges.
Communication with shop personnel is maintained regarding tank issues and test specimen status. Glassware is handled with precision, cleaned to prevent cross-contamination. The corrosion resistance/salt spray chamber is operated and maintained. All safety procedures are followed and protective gear used.
