Position Summary
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of the process, storage, loading, and unloading systems at a mixed natural gas liquids fractionation or cryogenic facility, operating electronic, computerized, or manual control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Constant monitoring and adjustment of instrument control panels to regulate process variables, ensuring purity and operating efficiency.
- Read and maintain equipment controlling temperature and flow of product; adapt to changes in conditions.
- Monitor gauges, inspect product, troubleshoot problems, and perform routine maintenance.
- Record equipment data and issue and monitor safe work permits.
- Operate within the regulations of Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental permit requirements.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the Gas Plant Operator job.
High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license. Must pass drug test and background check. Must work 12‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior board operator experience preferred.

- Monitoring – ability to inspect gauges, dials, or indicators to confirm proper machine operation.
- Systems Analysis – determine how a system should work and respond to changes.
- Communication – effectively verbal and written communication.
- Safety – identify hazards, evaluate work environment, use protective equipment, and report hazards.
- Mechanical Aptitude – apply mechanical concepts such as heat conduction, gravity, friction, and pressure.
- Attention to Detail – thorough completion of tasks.
- Computer & Digital Literacy – use digital devices and networks safely.
- Quality Control – conduct tests and inspections to evaluate product quality.
