Responsibilities
  • Perform production activities in accordance with volume fluctuations, business needs, and effective procedures.
  • Support production units by consistently providing required materials in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all materials required for production are available prior to need.
  • Identify production issues and relay them to the leadership team.
  • Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Complete tasks and documentation as required by cGMP.
  • Prepare assigned areas for the oncoming shifts.
  • Complete at least one developmental class annually focused on one of the four core competencies.
  • Become trained in all assigned training modules.
  • Train and orient new team members as assigned.
  • Follow all procedures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and report all safety issues, concerns, incidents, and near misses to the team leadership.
  • Participate in safety walkthroughs coordinated by the department’s safety team.
  • Provide input for potential safety issues and contributing ideas for corrective and preventative actions.
  • Follow effective procedures to ensure the production of a safe and efficacious product and understand cGMP requirements.
  • Identify areas of deficiency, offer potential suggestions for improvements, and participate in deviation investigations when appropriate.
  • Assist in the completion of quality documentation (e.g., BPRs, logbooks).
  • Participate in team meetings and actively communicate improvement ideas, issues, and concerns to the team.
  • Participate in cross‑functional teams to complete projects in an effective and timely manner.
  • As Lead Operator, complete picklists and work‑order tickets for all tasks completed on any given day.
  • Input data into SAP, enter work orders and reagent orders as required.
  • Ensure proper process area operation by pre‑ and post‑run set‑up and maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Recommend changes to BPRs, SOPs, and SWIs when warranted; write and edit documents under supervision.
  • Seek out cross‑training in other areas whenever possible.
  • Assist in writing incident investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and support higher‑tech levels and Principal Investigators with projects.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of prior manufacturing work experience.
  • Associate’s degree, two‑year technical degree, or associate technical certificates/licenses from an accredited school with prior manufacturing experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to use Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s) to control industrial processes.
  • Evidence of basic mechanical aptitude, computer skills, good comprehension, retention, manual dexterity, and troubleshooting ability.

Compensation

Salary range: $20.32 – $30.48 per hour (commensurate with experience). Employees may be eligible to participate in company employee benefit programs.
