** SUMMARY OF POSITION:*
* The Nurse Practitioner will diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe. Provides care of hospitalized patients and has full control of a patient throughout their entire shift. Current BLS and ACLS Required.

** MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):*
* + Master's degree in Nursing

+ Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by State of employment

+ Basic Life Support (BLS)

** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:*
* + Critical thinking

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Ability to complete comprehensive physical exam, diagnose and formulate a medical management plan

+ Ability to collaborate with attending physician
