Job Summary

Geisinger is proud to offer a per diem Inpatient RN with market‑leading pay rates and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts.

• Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout continuum of care.
• Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning.
• Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan based on patient response.
• Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in care and handling of equipment.
• Participate in unit‑based decision‑making regarding evidence‑based practice.
• Act as team member toward unit and organization goals and account for unit and system metrics.
• Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) –  of Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
