Geisinger is proud to offer a per diem inpatient RN with market‑leading pay rates and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts.

• Complete patient assessments per scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care per unit standards, including patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based on patient response.
• Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs proactively.
• Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures for equipment care and handling.
• Participate in unit‑based decision‑making concerning the utilization of evidence‑based practice.
• Actively participate as a team member toward unit and organizational goals, accounting for unit and system‑specific metrics.
• Engage in patient quality and safety education programs and related activities to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.

Hours:

7:00p.m. – 7:30a.m. – Geisinger Wyoming Valley is proud recipient of ANCC Magnet Recognition®, the highest distinction for nursing practice and patient care quality.

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).

• Basic Life Support Certification (default issuing body).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) –  of Pennsylvania.
