Job Summary
With a commitment to patient‑ and family‑centered care, the professional nurse uses the nursing process to address the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of a diverse patient population served by Jefferson Health. The nurse develops individualized plans of care in partnership with patients and their designated care partners, ensuring alignment with cultural beliefs and values.
Essential Functions- Interact with co‑workers, patients, families, and other staff in a manner consistent with Jefferson values.
- Integrate evidence‑based practice, clinical expertise, and patient/family preferences into care delivery.
- Partner with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education in a useful, understandable, and affirming way.
- Minimize risk of harm by following established nursing practices, protocols, and individual performance standards.
- Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support ethical decision‑making.
- Use data to monitor care outcomes and apply improvement methods to design and test changes that enhance quality and safety.
- Function effectively within nursing and inter‑professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision‑making.
- Acknowledge patients and families, providing safe, compassionate, and coordinated care that respects personal preferences, priorities, and cultural values.
- Create an environment of belonging and inclusion, using problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning, seek professional growth opportunities, and act in a primary preceptor role for appropriate staff members.
- Participate actively in hospital‑ and practice‑setting committees, including safety and quality improvement.
- Show willingness to give and receive feedback, integrating appropriate changes into practice.
- Specialized diploma graduate of an accredited nursing school (required).
- Previous acute‑care RN experience (highly preferred).
Workday night shift (United States of America). Regular employee at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
