Job Summary
Geisinger is offering an Inpatient RN position with hiring incentives up to $23,500 and a minimum hiring rate of $41.41 per hour, with additional shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities- Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient/family education and discharge planning.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policy and procedure.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based on patient response.
- Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
- Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures regarding equipment and care delivery.
- Participate in unit-based decision‑making and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
- Act as a team member working toward unit and organization goals and be accountable for unit and system metrics.
- Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and activities to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required) or Bachelor’s Degree‑Nursing (Preferred).
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania ( of Pennsylvania).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Clinical skills and strong communication, interpersonal communication, organizing, preceptor, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in inpatient settings.
Hours include 7a‑7:30por 7p‑7:30a with every other weekend and holiday requirements. Shift rotation within the United States.
