THE POSITION

This position oversees the planning, direction, and evaluation of nursing care to ensure safe and effective services for consumers. It plays a key role in maintaining a supportive environment for both staff and patients by guiding daily operations and promoting consistent communication.
- Team Supervision:
Guide professional and nonprofessional nursing staff across multiple care areas - Clinical Oversight:
Monitor treatment activities and support quality care based on nursing standards - Staff Development:
Provide training, orientation, and ongoing education to nursing personnel - Care Coordination:
Communicate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care - Safety Management:
Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and respond to emergencies when needed - Record Keeping:
Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and complete evaluations without delay
- Full‑time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM) on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as assigned, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- The 2nd shift receives $1.25 per hour shift differential.

- Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title), or four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act, which requires submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance.
