Locum Jobs Online is working with AAS Locum Tenens to find a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychiatry NP in Reading, Pennsylvania, 19612!
We are seeking a compassionate, pediatric-trained Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated behavioral health team in Reading, PA. This full-time opportunity offers a balanced 4-day work week—three days from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and one extended day from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM—providing both work-life balance and continuity of care for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and ongoing medication management for children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, pediatricians, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Engage in care coordination with families, schools, and other healthcare providers when appropriate.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary of $165,000 – $180,000, based on experience.

Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with pediatric experience or certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in child/adolescent psychiatry (new grads with strong pediatric backgrounds may be considered).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
