2ndShift: Quality Production Technician
Full Time Lebanon, TN, US
Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Hourly
Ensure product quality and grade accuracy by performing physical assays, running spectrometric analysis, and applying statistical process controls to verify that sorted aluminum meets specification.
Key Responsibilities- Pull physical assays by weight and piece count.
- Operate the spectrometer to verify alloy chemistry (training provided if not already proficient).
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles to monitor and evaluate production quality.
- Calculate and track general process capability (Cpk) metrics.
- Monitor and report PPM (parts per million) quality/defect levels.
- Maintain accurate records and flag off-spec material.
- Excellent punctuality and disciplined attendance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to run or be trained on a spectrometer.
- Working knowledge of SPC principles, Cpk, and PPM (or willingness to learn).
- Work environment varies between brief outdoor exposure to weather conditions and the interior sorting facility, including dust and ambient conditions.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
