Job Overview
The Klein Family Parkinson’s Rehabilitation Center at Moss Rehab, in conjunction with the Cognitive‑Motor Learning Laboratory at the Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute (MRRI) in Elkins Park, PA, has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow beginning fall
2026. Under the direction of Dr. Aaron Wong, Ph.D., the fellow will investigate the impact of Parkinson’s Disease and the role of the basal ganglia on behavior, analyzing movement responses and decision‑making in neurotypicals and individuals with Parkinson's disease.
- Conduct experimental research on the basal ganglia’s influence on habit formation and effort‑based decision making.
- Analyze movement data and behavioral responses in clinical and neurotypical populations.
- Develop and test hypotheses related to neuroeconomics and motor learning.
- Present findings at conferences and in peer‑reviewed publications.
- Foster an independent line of research within the MRRI postdoctoral training program.
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, Kinesiology, or a closely related discipline, or expected to complete by summer
2026. - Experience or strong interest in neuroeconomics, motor learning, and working with clinical populations.
- Proficiency in programming, data analysis, and statistics.
- Demonstrated research productivity and publications.
