Role
Co-op student in the Research and Development Division focusing on infectious diseases and vaccines, providing hands‑on experience in developing medicines and vaccines for viral and bacterial diseases using advanced technologies.
Responsibilities- assist scientists with laboratory techniques such as cell culture, transfection, ELISAs, PCR, and protein/DNA/RNA analysis
- support immunological and microbiological assays
- contribute to research projects in virology, microbiology, immunology, or biochemistry.
- currently pursuing a bachelor's in biology or related field
- experience with molecular biology, microbiology, immunology techniques, and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- availability for full-time, in-person work for up to 6 months starting early June 2027
- experience with immunological methods like flow cytometry, ELISPOT, or immunostaining
- microbiology techniques in virology or bacterial genetics
- familiarity with molecular biology software (e.g., DNASTAR) and graphing tools (e.g., Graph Pad Prism)
- focus on infectious diseases, vaccines, viral/bacterial pathogens, molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, laboratory research
- no travel requirements
- internship status with salary range $39,908 - $111,111.
