Sales Development Representative; intern

The Opportunity

We’re looking for students and early-career individuals to join Hot Takes in a flexible, summer-based role focused on growth and user acquisition.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in sales, partnerships, and business development within a startup environment. You’ll take ownership of expanding Hot Takes within your network and community, with the freedom to approach growth in a way that works best for you.

High performers will have the opportunity to continue into the fall and take on expanded responsibilities.

• Drive user growth through outreach, referrals, and community engagement
• Identify opportunities to increase brand visibility within your market
• Build relationships with student groups, communities, and local partners
• Share feedback and insights to support ongoing growth and strategy
• Plan and host social activations such as watch parties, bar events, sports league and fraternity fundraisers, and online events

• Current university or college student
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working independently in a flexible environment
• Interest in sales, partnerships, or entrepreneurship
• Passion for sports and sports culture

• Competitive Performance-Based Compensation: Fully commission-based, with earnings tied directly to user acquisition and activation
• Average BDA typically earns the equivalent of $30+/hour
• Uncapped Commission: High performers benefit from uncapped earning potential and maximize earnings by leveraging strong networks, events, and consistent outreach
• Field hours: Paid time for in-person company activations
• Time commitment: 10-40 hours per week based on your availability (part-time, fully-remote)

This is a flexible, experience-focused role and is not structured as a formal co-op or internship for academic credit.
