Rare Disease Business Manager - HAE – Eastern PA

The territory includes Harrisburg, Hershey, Allentown, Reading, Lancaster, Danville, parts of Philadelphia, and Binghamton, NY. The role reports to the Regional Business Lead, HAE.

How you will contribute

The Rare Disease Business Manager will drive franchise sales growth through the execution of sales strategies, collaborate with the Regional Business Lead and various customer‑facing team members, and ensure patients are supported throughout their HAE journey.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving demand generation efforts focused on healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Educating HCPs about Takeda brands and the HAE portfolio.
  • Managing complex HAE marketplace activities, including distribution and site of care.
  • Working closely with third‑party specialty pharmacies to secure patient access to therapy.
  • Adhering to all policies and guidelines, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and embodying Takeda culture and values.
Minimum Requirements /Qualifications
  • Clinical sales background with a Bachelor of Science degree (minimum).
  • 5+ years of successful healthcare sales experience, managing and being accountable for own business.
  • Experience in a complex selling model is highly desirable.
  • Biotech experience desirable.
  • Results‑driven with a track record of compliance.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of sales processes.
  • Organizational and territory planning skills.
  • Effective at acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting customer data to create effective sales strategies.
  • Change agility skills and experience.
  • Influencing HCPs to prescribe and launching experience a plus.
  • Minimum age of 18 years with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel as required.
  • Authorization to drive a company‑leased vehicle or rental.
Training Requirements
  • Employee must successfully complete mandatory product training, including written and oral examinations.
  • During training, the employee will be a non‑exempt employee eligible for overtime, but not eligible for sales incentive programs or other production-based bonuses.
  • Post‑training, the employee will be transitioned to exempt status, ineligible for overtime, and eligible for sales incentive programs and contests.
