TAM Systems is an industry-leading provider specializing in innovative design, construction, and service of grain handling and distribution facilities. We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Agricultural Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is responsible for expanding our on-farm storage presence by building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions across the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a salary-based sales position with an employee stock program after two years of employment.
Responsibilities- Build brand awareness and grow market share within the agricultural sector.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and industry research.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
- Develop strategic sales plans and negotiate contracts to successfully close new business.
- Align customer needs with TAM Systems solutions through effective consultation and presentation.
- Track industry trends and market activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Maintain accurate sales reports, prospecting activity, and customer visit documentation.
- Uphold confidentiality and protect company and customer information.
- Represent TAM Systems with professionalism while contributing to a positive team environment.
- Create a sales pipeline with a monthly goal of 10 to 20 accounts per month.
- Strong closing, negotiation, and prospecting skills.
- Ability to manage sales territory and meet performance goals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated with a high level of energy and professionalism.
- Ability to understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Team‑oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience preferred (agriculture industry a plus).
- College degree in Business, Agribusiness, or related field preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel as needed throughout the territory.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and climb when necessary.
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment physical, background check, and drug screening.
