Responsibilities- Welding Work:
Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and cutting on metal parts and equipment - Equipment Repair:
Fix plow frames, blades, spreaders, and other winter service equipment - Fabrication Tasks:
Create or modify metal parts to support equipment needs - Tool Operation:
Use power tools, air tools, and motorized equipment safely during repair work - Mechanical Support:
Assist with mounting, removing, disassembling, and reassembling equipment components - Safety Practices:
Maintain safe work habits, observe hazards, and follow all safety requirements
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Mandatory or unscheduled overtime associated with operational and seasonal needs may be required.
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:

- Three years of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or
- Completion of a three-year, high school Vo-Tech training program in welding and eighteen months of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or
- Completion of an approved welder apprentice program; or
- A welding certificate D1.1 from the American Welding Society; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
