Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and facility machinery. The focus is on preventative maintenance tasks and accurately diagnosing and repairing equipment.
Responsibilities• Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machines and equipment (mills, blenders, conveyors, pulverizes, crushers, etc.)
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and facility machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical components of PLCs and collaborate with engineers on electrical/programmable issues
• Utilize CMMS to enter, review, and close work orders and preventative maintenance orders
• Communicate downtime events, solutions, and lead times with the production team
• Maintain a clean working station and inventory of parts and tools
• Request quotes from vendors, order parts, inspect received parts for quality, and approve installation
• Serve as an expert in all things maintenance-related and facilitate training as requested
• Comply with all safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tag out, confined spaces)
Qualifications• 3 or more years of working experience
• Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, air compressors, motors, bearings, etc.
• Strong skills in welding, electrical (120–480V), and control system troubleshooting are essential
• Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS required; PLC programming software proficiency preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics
• Manual dexterity for repairs
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. periodically and climb ladders/platforms
• Comfortability working in confined spaces and non-temperature-controlled environments
• Employee must supply own hand tools
