DESCRIPTION

OF WORK
  • Trade

    Skills:

    Perform work in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, plaster, painting, air conditioning, and refrigeration specialties
  • Equipment Repair:
    Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of facility equipment, including pumps, generators, heating systems, and electrical components
  • Carpentry Work:
    Repair doors, flooring, and furniture, fabricate partitions, and operate woodworking tools and trucks for facility needs
  • Painting and Masonry:
    Paint interior and exterior surfaces and complete masonry tasks on buildings, foundations, walks, and walls
  • Grounds Support:
    Remove snow, cut grass, and operate basic grounds equipment to maintain safe outdoor conditions
  • Resident Transport:
    Operate stretchers, transport vehicles, mini-vans, and wheelchair vans for resident trips

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:
    You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:

    In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements
  • You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
