Position Overview
A County Caseworker 2 at Fayette County MH/s you a chance to make a real difference in the lives of people who need support. This role gives you the opportunity to help individuals find services that promote hope and independence.
Description of WorkThis position supports individuals by helping them identify their needs and connect with the right resources. The role focuses on person‑centered planning and monitoring the quality of supports.
- Service Planning:
Identify support needs and develop Individualized Service Plans that reflect personal preferences. - Resource Linking:
Locate and coordinate services, community supports, and natural supports that match each person's goals. - Person Centered Support:
Guide planning processes that respect individuality, choice, and control. - Service Monitoring:
Ensure services are delivered as planned and monitor the health and safety of individuals. - Quality Oversight:
Provide accurate information and support through ongoing review of services and outcomes.
- Full‑time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
- Telework:
This position does not allow telework.
- Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1.
- Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program.
- A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major.
- A bachelor's degree supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in the related social sciences.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree or credits.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- This position requires a valid driver's license that is not under suspension.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
