County Caseworker 2 – Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program

Step into a meaningful role as a County Caseworker 2 with Lycoming County Child Welfare Services in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. This position allows you to guide children, families, and volunteers through a respected community program and match participants with opportunities that can change their lives.

• Program Intake:
  Review referrals and gather information to understand participant needs.
• Eligibility Review:
  Check that clients and volunteers meet program guidelines.
• Case Support:
  Provide guidance and assistance to help participants reach their goals.
• Recruitment Assistance:
  Engage potential participants and promote program involvement.
• Match Coordination:
  Help connect clients and volunteers in ways that support positive outcomes.

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1, or
• Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program, or
• A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major, or
• A bachelor’s degree that includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience, or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 12 college credits in the same fields.
• Applicants are considered to meet the educational requirements within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree or credits.

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports at your expense.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
