Position: ADOPTION CASEWORKER

Permanency Specialist

Kids Peace is a private charity dedicated to supporting the behavioral and mental health needs of children, families, and communities. The Permanency Specialist plays a vital role by working directly with children and families to help them achieve life-long connections, including adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with children and families to complete units of service referred by the Statewide Adoption Network, including:
    • Child Profiles
    • Family Profiles
    • Child Preparation
    • Child Specific Recruitment
    • Adoption Finalization
  • Partner with youth, families, and stakeholders to support long-term permanency goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold Kids Peace values of compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field
  • 1–2 years of experience in the child welfare system (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid driver's license and registered vehicle
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
