Pro Berco is recruiting for Community Living Direct Support Professionals to join our team! Pro Berco is excited to offer a $2,000.00 New Hire Sign-On Bonus. Salary starting at $17.00 hourly, now offering shift differentials! Position Summary

The Instructor in the Adult Training department is responsible for the supervision and support of the individuals served. The Instructor assists in the implementation of care while attending to and respecting individual needs to support growth and independence. The Instructor is responsible for adhering to corporate policies and procedures as well as state regulations. The instructor provides supervision and support in the program and the community.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education development certificate. Some college preferred with background in education or related human services field.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred; customer service experience.
  • Valid PA driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a supportive, caring, safe environment by attending to individual needs, respecting differences, and supporting growth and independence.
  • Provide input into the planning and development of the ISPs by attending team meetings.
  • Assist each program participant with personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and any other necessary skills.
  • Assist in implementation of the ISPs and related activities (social, recreational, educational, developmental).
  • Compliance with corporate policy and procedures and Office of Developmental Programs' regulations.
  • Assist in attending to the program participant's emotional, physical, or medical needs, reporting concerns to responsible personnel.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Provide transportation for program participants.
  • Locate and develop meaningful community activities.
  • Serve as ambassador for program participants and the corporation. Promote the mission at all times.
  • Assist program participants with identification and maintenance of natural supports.
  • Maximize opportunities for choice and decision making.

    • Ask for help when needed.
    • Be able to create and implement creative programming.
    • Punctuality – attend work as scheduled.
