This role provides short-term supportive services to families facing child abuse or neglect concerns. The position helps staff and families by offering transportation, guidance, and practical assistance. As a County Social Services Aide 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Family Support: Assist families in meeting basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, and employment resources
- Transportation Help: Provide transportation for clients to appointments, visits, and emergency situations
- Visit Monitoring: Observe family visits and report behaviors, concerns, and progress to staff
- Record Assistance: Pick up and deliver records, letters, and documents for caseworkers and other staff
- Community Contact: Help clients connect with community services and participate in multi-service planning meetings

Support workers with tasks such as home visits, safety plan monitoring, filing, mailing, or clerical needs
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires flexible hours according to need, which may include early morning, late evening or weekends.

- One year as a County Social Services Aide 2;
or - Graduation from high school, or its equivalency, and three years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information;
or - An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences, and one year of experience in a human services agency;
or - Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.

- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
