This position supports clients by guiding them through assessments, service coordination, and other case management activities. As a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee, you will perform the following duties:

• Client Screening: Conduct telephone and face-to-face screening of clients during initial referral contact
• Service Assessment: Conduct assessments in office or community settings to identify service needs
• Care Determination: Determine appropriate level of care based on placement guidelines
• Plan Coordination: Coordinate access to services and update Recovery Plans as needed
• Authorization Processing: Request funding authorization and complete required documentation
• Documentation Management: Document case activities and ensure compliance with confidentiality rules

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; or a Bachelor’s Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences;
  or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
