Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive modern quality engineering practices by embedding continuous validation into delivery pipelines and reducing reliance on late-stage testing.
• Improve automation reliability, signal quality, and maintainability so teams can act on results with confidence.
• Introduce practical AI-enabled and data-driven approaches to testing, analysis, and engineering decision support.
• Identify and remove systemic constraints such as unstable environments, test data limitations, and unclear pipeline failure signals.
• Create reusable patterns, reference approaches, and technical guidance that can scale across teams.
• Provide technical leadership through credibility, collaboration, and deep engineering expertise rather than organizational authority.

• Typically 15+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, SDET, or Software Engineering.
• Proven success improving how teams build, test, and release software on a scale.
• Deep hands‑on understanding of automation, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to influence across teams and functions without direct authority.
• Comfort operating with both technical depth and enterprise-wide systems thinking.
• Experience introducing smarter, more automated, or AI-enabled approaches to testing and delivery is a plus.
• Experience in environments where stability, control, and reliability are critical is preferred.
• Higher level education such as a Masters degree, or PhD is desirable.
• Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
