School Bus Driver

Part-Time School Bus Driver – New Castle, PA

We are hiring part-time school bus drivers. As a First Student Part-Time School Bus Driver you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. No experience as a bus driver is required; we provide paid CDL training.

• Conduct a split shift: an early morning before‑school pickup and an after‑school drop‑off, with a few free hours in between.
• Perform driving duties safely and professionally, ensuring the safety and comfort of all students.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for each shift.
• Complete required documentation and reports for each shift.

• Age 21 or older.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Strong safety record with no major traffic violations.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work a flexible split‑shift schedule, including early mornings and evenings.
• Open to candidates who do not have a college degree or high school diploma, have military experience, are returning to the workforce, are retirees, or looking to begin a new career.

• Guaranteed 4‑hour shift per school day with a split‑shift schedule.
• Starting pay: $27.04 per hour.
• Maximum boost of $3,000 in sign‑on bonus for fully licensed drivers.
