Lunchtime Teaching Assistant - Reading at Fennies Nurseries

Job Title: Nursery Lunch Cover

Location: Kilnbrook House, Rose Kiln Lane Reading, RG2 0BY

Salary: Up to £14 per hour

Hours: 4-day and 5-day working options

Reports to: Room Leader/Nursery Manager

• Be All In: Create a calm, safe, and nurturing lunchtime experience, ensuring children are well cared for and supported during this part of their day.
• Come Together: Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to maintain routines, respond to children’s needs, and uphold a positive team culture.
• Be Yourself: Demonstrate self-awareness in interactions, adapt your approach to individual children, and reflect on how your support impacts their wellbeing.
• Go Further: Take pride in your role, seek ways to improve lunchtime routines, and contribute to the overall quality of care and education.

• Passion for Early Years Education: Genuine love for working with children and a commitment to providing the best start in life.
• Knowledge of EYFS: Understanding of child development, Birth to 5 Matters, and the EYFS curriculum.
• Qualified & Experienced: A Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare and GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 (or equivalent).
• Build Strong Relationships: Form bonds with children and families, ensuring each child feels secure and supported.
• Team Player: Excellent communication skills, ability to give/receive feedback, and a proactive approach.
