Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

Salary: £36,712 per annum + £1,200 per annum car allowance (pay uplift pending)

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Predominantly Monday to Friday office hours, with a minimum of 4 shifts including sleep‑ins (rota’d in advance)

Service Users: Solo occupancy homes supporting young people

The Home: Our client is recruiting a Deputy Home Manager to support the Home Manager in the running of three solo occupancy homes in Shropshire. You will take responsibility for the management of the resource as a whole, deputise in the Home Manager’s absence, and ensure the homes exceed Quality Standards. You will adopt a multi‑skilled approach that meets the needs of young people and the home, lead staff teams in behaviour management, and ensure high-quality residential care and education practice is maintained.
You will also form part of the on‑call manager rota.
Number of homes: Three solo occupancy homes
Ofsted rating: All Learning Disabilities homes rated GOOD or OUTSTANDING
Who we are looking for: A passionate and skilled Deputy Home Manager who is confident leading teams, experienced in behaviour management, and committed to safeguarding and child protection. You must hold a full UK manual driving licence, have access to your own transport, and be able to complete sleep‑in duties. A keen interest in outdoor education is advantageous, and recognised outdoor activity qualifications may result in a salary increase.
