The Role

Berkshire Independent Hospital, part of the Ramsay Health Care Group, is looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team.

Position: Catering Assistant

Location: Berkshire Independent Hospital, Reading

Hours: Part‑time, 23 hours per week. Shifts 7 am–6 pm, Monday to Saturday.

• Obtain food and beverage orders from patients, staff, and visitors.
• Assist in the preparation and service of food.
• Clean all areas of the catering department to the agreed standard.
• Understand and adhere to health and hygiene regulations.
• Prepare breakfast and assist the chefs.

• Willingness to work positively with a team.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate for Catering (or willingness to complete company‑funded training).
• Outstanding professional customer‑service and inter‑personal skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Attention to detail.
