Job Overview

As a Kitchen Porter in Reading, you will join Berkeley Scott’s agency team for temporary catering assignments starting this September. This role involves working in schools and various catering companies across the area, offering flexible hours to suit your schedule.

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep kitchens, food preparation areas, and storage spaces clean, organised, and hygienic.
• Support chefs and catering teams with basic food preparation when required.
• Assist with deliveries and ensure stock is stored safely.
• Help maintain a safe, efficient, and well‑organised kitchen environment.

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or within a catering environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Two professional references.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage.

• Pay: £12.71 per hour.
