Laboratory Technician

Talentmark are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for 6 months, with high likelihood of being extended further. This role is site based in Reading, Berkshire.

Salary:

£13.35 per hour, 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm with a 45 minute lunch break.

Laboratory Technician Role:

Prepare for laboratory tasks using appropriate scientific techniques, procedures and methods.
Use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform lab tasks, and operate basic lab equipment.
Use the LIMS system to record information.
Analyse, interpret and evaluate data from lab work.
Keep an organised and accurate record of lab work carried out.
Calibrate lab equipment as required.

Your Background:

Educated up to A-Level/HNC/BTEC level in a Science.
Laboratory experience would be advantageous.
Meticulous and organised, with strong attention to detail.
A strong team player.
Good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office software.
Good understanding of lab equipment.
Passionate about food!
