Physics Technician (Part-Time)

8:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Physics Technician to support the delivery of practical science lessons within a busy secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in science who enjoys working in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, setting up and clearing away equipment for Physics lessons.
- Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and resources.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assisting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and experiments.
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when required.
- Carrying out basic maintenance, cleaning and safety checks on equipment.
- Supporting the wider Science Department as needed.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working as a Science or Physics Technician is desirable.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
