Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) is seeking multiple experienced subject matter experts to write and review high-quality sample assessments for Level 2 & Level 3 qualifications in the Science category.

The subject areas we are recruiting for are:

• Applied Science
• Health and Social Care

This is a remote, freelance role that can be undertaken flexibly alongside other professional commitments, including during evenings and weekends. Occasional meetings with TQUK will take place between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Write and/or review assessments (question papers and mark schemes) in line with the relevant qualification specification
• Follow the assessment brief and construct provided by TQUK Assessment Developers
• Ensure assessments are valid, fair and reliable and adhere to regulatory requirements
• Attend meetings, via Microsoft Teams, throughout the development process

Experience & Skills

Candidates must have:

• A subject-related undergraduate degree and/ or relevant professional qualification
• Teaching experience in the relevant subject area
• A n understanding of the requirements for Level 2 and/or Level 3 assessments
• E xperience of writing and/or reviewing assessment materials for awarding organisations
• R elevant industry experience in the subject area
• C urrent and relevant knowledge of the subject area
• T he ability to write assessments in line with a brief and assessment construct
• T he ability to receive constructive feedback and incorporate this into draft assessments
• T he ability to meet deadlines and work to required project timelines
• E xcellent attention to detail
• E xcellent communication and organisational skills
• G ood IT skills and confidence using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
