Are you a Technician looking to bridge the gap to Master Tech with a company that actually pays for your training? We are seeking a motivated Vehicle Technician or Automotive Mechanic to join our highly respected Main Dealer specialist in Reading
. This is the ideal environment for someone who wants the technical challenge of a high-volume workshop but prefers a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend requirements.
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic +
Strong OTE of £40,000+. - Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (
Weekends Off
). - Training: Full manufacturer-standard training and support for Senior/Master Tech accreditations

Our workshop handles full vehicle maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex electrical fault resolution across the latest models. What You’ll Be DoingAs a vital member of our Reading Main Dealer team (Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic), you will:
- Mechanical Repairs: Carry out essential servicing, braking, steering, and transmission repairs.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Use modern automotive software to resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Technical Support: Work alongside Senior Technicians to tackle high-level engine work and fault diagnosis.
- Safety Inspections: Perform thorough vehicle health checks and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Quality Standards: Deliver "first-time fix" quality to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 18 months workshop experience—we are happy to have a flexible discussion based on your specific skills.
- Tools: Your own vehicle repair tools are preferred.
- Compliance: A full UK driving license is essential.
- Mindset: A reliable work ethic and a desire to progress to Master Tech status.
Location & Commutability Our facility is based in Reading and is perfectly located for those commuting from Wokingham, Bracknell, Theale, Caversham, Woodley, and Henley-on-Thames.
