Our Estates Team manages a diverse and complex estate and we are now seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Painter & Decorator to join our Reactive Maintenance Team. No two days are the same, and the variety of our estate brings both challenge and reward.

In this hands‑on role, you will deliver high‑quality painting and decorating services across a wide range of academic, residential, heritage, and specialist buildings. You will also mentor and support apprentices, work collaboratively with other trades, and provide excellent customer service to building users.

The role includes the opportunity to join the formal on‑call rota (one weekend in every 7‑8), with an additional allowance of approximately £4,300 per annum.

You will bring strong technical skills, experience working in a maintenance environment, and the ability to work independently while managing your own workload. Competence with tools, safe working practices, and good IT skills (including tablet use) are essential.

In return, we offer a competitive salary package (up to £35k), generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme, Sports Park discounts, wellbeing support, and the opportunity to work in one of the most attractive university estates in the UK.

If you thrive in a fast‑paced reactive maintenance environment and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver high‑quality services, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please apply via the Jobtrain site, and clearly demonstrate how you meet the key recruiting criteria.
