Mobile Water Treatment Technician
SummaryNRL are recruiting for a permanent Mobile Water Treatment Technician to join our client covering the South of England, including Reading, Hampshire, London, and the South East. This role is ideal for an experienced Commercial Plumber with strong water hygiene knowledge who enjoys working independently in the field. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary, company van with fuel card, and the opportunity to work across diverse and essential projects.
Salary£34,000 – £37,000 per annum (depending on experience) + company van (business use) + fuel card
Location and Working PatternCovering Reading, Hampshire, South London, and parts of the South East. This is a field-based role with approximately 40 hours per week.
Client OverviewOur client is a trusted specialist in delivering water treatment and water hygiene solutions to a wide range of commercial and industrial clients. They are committed to maintaining high standards of compliance, system safety, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Carry out temperature monitoring, water sampling, and compliance checks
- Perform shower head descales, TMV servicing, and tank inspections or cleans
- Complete cooling tower cleans and disinfection works
- Undertake closed system testing and analysis across LTHW, boilers, and cooling systems
- Dose systems with inhibitors and biocides as required
- Deliver water softener servicing and plumbing remedial works
- Identify faults and implement effective solutions
- Record and report PPM visits using company systems and tools
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent City & Guilds) in Plumbing
- Proven experience in water hygiene and commercial plumbing
- Strong knowledge of L8 ACOP, HSG
274, and Water Supply Regulations - Experience with closed system analytical testing and remedial works (Tier 3 level)
- Ability to work independently within a field-based role
- Full UK driving licence
- Additional related water treatment training or certifications
- Experience in both domestic and large commercial water systems
- Competitive salary based on experience
