An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and modern workshop environment in Reading.

Rotating Monday to Friday shifts:

• 06:00 - 14:30
• 14:30 - 23:00

As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime and safety.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and workshop procedures.
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure efficient repairs.
• Conduct road tests where required.
• Assist with roadside breakdown support when necessary.
• Report vehicle defects and ensure all work is completed safely.
• Maintain workshop equipment, tools and working areas.
• Support and mentor apprentices and trainee technicians.

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Positive attitude with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.
