An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and modern workshop environment in Reading.

Shift PatternRotating Monday to Friday shifts:
- 06:00 - 14:30
- 14:30 - 23:00
As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
- Complete repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and workshop procedures.
- Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
- Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure efficient repairs.
- Conduct road tests where required.
- Assist with roadside breakdown support when necessary.
- Report vehicle defects and ensure all work is completed safely.
- Maintain workshop equipment, tools and working areas.
- Support and mentor apprentices and trainee technicians.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Positive attitude with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.
