HGV Technician
Skilled and flexible HGV Technician with strong diagnostic capabilities required to join our team at Reading!
A vacancy has arisen at our Reading location (RG2 0QX
) for an HGV Technician specialising in Diagnostics and Repairs. You will be responsible for diagnostic appointments using our manufacturer equipment as well as completing the repairs identified on our customers' vehicles. Routine maintenance inspections, servicing and general repairs will also be required at times.
We work with three manufacturers – MAN Truck & Bus, Isuzu Trucks and Daimler Trucks – and a ‘can do’ attitude is required to take on any task presented to you. We will commit to developing you further to increase your knowledge of our brands through in‑house and manufacturer training, ensuring repairs are completed within manufacturer guidelines.
Compensation and Schedule- On Target Realistic Earnings (OTE) – £64,000 per annum*
- Basic Salary up to £45,000 (Hourly rate of £21.63) depending on experience
- Additional Shift Payment of £3,000 per year for working on our late shift
- Basic hours are 40 per week
- Achievable productivity bonus up to £6,000 per annum available on reaching targets (paid quarterly)
- Overtime readily available
- Weekends and outside of basic hours paid at 1.5
- * OTE based on working 1 in 3 Saturdays of 5 hours and 5 hours overtime per week – more is usually available.
- Shift 1:
Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm (60 mins unpaid for lunch) - Shift 2:
Monday to Friday 1pm – 10pm (60 mins unpaid lunch) - Saturday rota: 1 in 3 weeks working from 7am – 12pm

- Bus and coach experience an advantage
