We are currently seeking a Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing AWE's White Fleet vehicles, plant and associated assets. This role also includes an on‑call allowance and the opportunity to develop a broad range of technical skills through extensive training.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE.
Responsibilities- Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, safe systems of work and health and safety requirements
- Support Logistics and Facilities Managers as required
- Maintain Licence Condition 28 by ensuring all relevant examinations, inspections, testing and maintenance activities are completed to the required standards
- Participate in the team's on‑call rota
- A recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and City & Guilds Level 3 MVCS qualification or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Light and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous experience within a vehicle or fleet workshop environment
- LGV Licence Category C or C+E with relevant driving experience
- A willingness to learn new skills, undertake training and diversify within the role
- A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfort working in restrictive PPE and within hazardous environments when required
- Willingness to participate in on‑call arrangements
- Desirable: PCV Licence (or the ability and willingness to train and achieve this qualification)
- Driver CPC qualification
Package:
Starting Salary 40,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications & level of experience), 9-day working fortnight – meaning you get every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave.
