Vehicle Service Technician vacancy in Reading
A leading main dealership in Reading is seeking a skilled Vehicle Service Technician to join their dedicated team. - Monday to Friday working hours (45 hours per week), with Saturday mornings on a rota

- Conduct comprehensive servicing and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including diagnostics, warranty work, and routine maintenance
- Perform tasks such as oil changes, cambelt replacements, and electronic health checks
- Complete accurate job cards and digital documentation
- Carry out electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Maintain high safety and quality standards in all work performed
- Support the team with additional workshop tasks as required
- Recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Technician or Mechanic, with exposure to warranty and servicing tasks
- Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to high standards of workmanship
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- MOT licence is advantageous but not essential; full training can be provided
- Eagerness to learn, develop, and progress within a high‑tech, manufacturer‑supported environment
