Multi trade operative (General building maintenance) – Reading. Salary £30,378 plus overtime, £2,536 call‑out, pension, 42 days holiday, training, progression and great work‑life balance.

Are you a qualified tradesperson with an NVQ Level 2 in Brickwork, Carpentry, Roofing, General Building, Plastering or Electrical, looking for a structured, less‑pressured environment that still provides hands‑on work?

Do you want to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am‑4:00pm, applying your trade skills across a large, varied estate while avoiding commercial deadline pressure?

• Days‑based role 8:00am‑4:00pm, Monday‑Friday
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a large estate
• General building maintenance including carpentry, minor brickwork and fabric repairs
• Roofing inspections and minor roof repairs
• Patch plastering and general decorating repairs
• Pathway, paving and external surface repairs
• Investigate and repair building defects
• Support planned preventive maintenance activities
• Use CAFM systems to manage and record work
• Work closely with contractors and internal stakeholders
• Participate in call‑out rota with additional earnings

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in relevant trade
• Experience in estates, facilities, construction or property maintenance
• Multi‑skilled approach to building maintenance
• Capacity to carry out internal and external maintenance tasks
• Strong understanding of safe working practices
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
