AboutThe Role
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our Accounting team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the financial operations of a dynamic real estate portfolio by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in all accounting activities.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and collaborative, partnering closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to support daily financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven accounting professional to grow their expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Essential Functions- Handles basic accounts payables and accounts receivable inquiries from tenants, vendors and other departments within the organization
- Supports Accounting Manager in completing documentation for required submissions, or in preparing entries as needed
- Prepares schedules and analyses as needed
- Prepares calculation of monthly corporate fees
- Prepares rebills to properties from corporate entities
- Collaborates with Asset Management, Property Management and third-party Accounting team members to address financial matters
- Coordinates with tax accountants and/or external auditors at year end
- Other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the EVP, Finance & Accounting Manager

Basic accounting or bookkeeping skills, handling of accounts payable and accounts receivable matters required - Organizational
Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines - Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with accounting software and property management system - Strong Communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate with clarity and professionalism while collaborate effectively across teams
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance related course
- At least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of Yardi, or any real estate software, a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and document management software
