Our client, located in Red Bank, NJ is looking to hire a Senior Real Estate Accountant to join their team.
Requirements/Responsibilities- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA prefered.
- 4-6 years of accounting experience in public accounting, commercial real estate, and/or residential real estate.
- Experience with Yardi Real Estate software strongly prefered.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for assigned properties, including variance analysis, cash flow analysis, balance sheet review, and capital expenditure analysis.
- Partner with Property Management to understand and track major projects and significant property activity.
- Review lease abstracts prepared by legal and maintain the leasing database for your portflio.
- Review and interpret management agreements, joint venture agreements, and mortgage documents for assigned properties.
- Review, analyze, and record general ledger adjustments and accruals.
- Prepare year-end tenant reconciliations for operating expenses and taxes.
- Manage the monthly capital call process for assigned properties.
